PT KMI Wire and Cable Tbk is an Indonesia-based company engaged in the manufacture of cables, aluminum and copper wire and other cable materials.

The company was established on January 19, 1972 as PT Kabelmetal Indonesia by Kabel-und Metalwerke Guetehoffnungshuette AG, a German company that later on was known as Kabelmetal Electro Gmbh. Its first commercial products were launched in 1974 bearing the well-known KABELMETAL brand.

In 1986, PT Gajah Tunggal Mulia acquired the majority stake of the company and remains majority ever since. The company was publicly listed on both the Jakarta Stock Exchange and the Surabaya Stock Exchange in 1992. To reveal the Holding’s identity, by the end of 1996 the company changed its name to PT GT Kabel Indonesia Tbk, while maintaining the KABELMETAL brand for domestic market.

Since mid 2007, while maintaining the Kabelmetal brand for domestic market, the Company introduced “KMI Wire and Cable” to gradually replace GT Kabel brand in overseas market. Later on, effective from September 1st 2008, the new overseas brand became the company name PT KMI Wire and Cable Tbk.

The company is one of the qualified suppliers of power cables to PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero), the state owned electricity company, as well as being qualified supplier of telephone cables to PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, the privatized state owned telecommunication company. The company is also a major cable supplier to private and industrial sectors, namely oil and gas, mining, various industrial and many others, either directly or through its nation-wide chains of distributors and resellers.

The Company was awarded ISO 9002 for its cable production in 1995 and for its newly established Aluminum and Copper Casting in 1996. It was followed by ISO 14001 in 1997 for its environmental management system and ISO 9001 for design control of cable production in 1998. The Company has adopted the new ISO 9000:2000 as well and regularly being assessed ever since. In early 2007 the Company acquired OHSAS 18001 and simultaneously SMK3 (the Indonesian version) for occupational health and safety system.

Strategic cooperation with various international manufacturers have been developed to extend the product range and to optimize the company’s machines utilization.

Community Investment Program Specialis

Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Manager, you will be principally responsible for developing, executing, reporting, monitoring and evaluating an integrated and short-to-long term community investment plan/activities for Company s safe, reliable and sustainable projects/explorations/operations in Indonesia. The roles and responsibilities include:
  • Deliver a quality community investment plan for different projects.
Asses the non-technical aspects of the projects. Ensure that all activities should help empower local community and authorities, not taking over local authorities roles. Execute, monitor and evaluate the agreed programs. Manage the program s budget. Lead/influence team and third parties to deliver commitments safely, on track and on budget, and in accordance with the Company s values and ethics.
  • Build and maintain Company s reputation at respected areas.
Build and maintain quality relationship with key local stakeholders, including authorities, local leaders and NGOs. Support the needs of Company, such as obtaining permits, visits, AMDAL implementation, manpower mob/demobilization, recruitment, etc. Become a main contact for Company in dealing with the key local stakeholders. Regularly promote, socialize and update Company s safety/growth agenda, values and activities. Handle all community-related issues; review and make necessary recommendations to management.
  • Provide regular updates/recommendations to Company on local issues/ challenges.
  • Comply with required legal and administrative standards to ensure that the program is properly funded and administered.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 5 years field assignment in public affairs or in related field, preferably in the oil & gas Industry, mining, banking and manufacturing industry. Fluent English: verbal communication, reporting and presentation skills. Good understanding of relevant Indonesian laws/regulations. 3. PROSES DAN PROSEDUR LAMARAN

  • Lakukan registrasi lamaran dengan membuat account baru terlebih dahulu. Link aktivasi untuk login akan dikirimkan oleh sistem ke alamat email anda. Lakukan pengaktifkan account anda dengan mengklik link tersebut sebelum anda memasukan data diri.
  • Kesalahan pengisian sehingga mengakibatkan pelamar tidak lolos pada tahap input data menjadi tanggung jawab masing-masing pelamar dan pelamar tidak berhak untuk mengikuti tahap berikutnya.
  • Tombol Simpan Data digunakan untuk menyimpan data anda sementara. Anda diperbolehkan mengisi atau merubah data anda sebanyak 3 kali dengan mengklik tombol Simpan Data. Apabila anda sudah yakin akan data yang diisi, anda dapat klik tombol Daftar. Data yang akan diproses hanya peserta yang telah mengklik tombol daftar.
  • Setelah tombol Daftar di klik, akan muncul halaman untuk mencetak kelengkapan berkas lamaran bagi pelamar yang dinyatakan lolos. Berkas ini diperlukan pada tahap selanjutnya (Verifikasi Dokumen). Pelamar yang tidak lolos/gugur tidak bisa melanjutkan ke tahap berikutnya.
  • Cetak kelengkapan berkas lamaran tersebut, yaitu:
  1. Surat Lamaran.
  2. Daftar Riwayat Hidup.
  3. Surat Pernyataan tentang bersedia ditempatkan di Unit dan Wilayah Kerja PT PLN (Persero) di seluruh Indonesia dan tidak terlibat penyalahgunaan narkoba.
  • Isi dan tanda tangani seluruh berkas lamaran tersebut di atas. Khusus untuk Surat Pernyataan, agar ditandatangani di atas materai Rp. 6.000,00.
  • Lengkapi berkas lamaran dengan seluruh dokumen pendukung yang dipersyaratkan, yaitu:
  1. Surat Keterangan sehat dan tidak buta warna;
  2. Foto kopi akte/surat kelahiran yang dilegalisasi;
  3. Foto kopi ijazah terakhir atau surat keterangan lulus yang dilegalisasi;
  4. Foto kopi transkrip nilai yang dilegalisasi;
  5. Foto kopi KTP yang masih berlaku;
  6. Pasfoto berwarna terbaru ukuran 4X6 sebanyak 3 (tiga) lembar; Jika dokumen tidak dilegalisasi maka pada saat penyerahan agar menunjukkan dokumen yang asli
  • Masukkan semua berkas lamaran dan dokumen pendukung ke dalam satu map untuk diserahkan pada saat verifikasi dokumen. Waktu dan tempat verifikasi dokumen akan diberitahukan sewaktu-waktu melalui e-mail atau melalui website PT PLN (Persero).
  • Apabila pada saat verifikasi dokumen ada ketidak sesuaian antara dokumen dan data pelamar yang diisikan pada formulir Registrasi Online, maka pendaftar dinyatakan tidak lolos atau gugur.
  • Pelamar yang tidak lolos seleksi Registrasi Online, tidak perlu menyerahkan dokumen untuk verifikasi.
4. PERSIAPAN SEBELUM MENGAJUKAN LAMARAN
Untuk menghemat waktu akses dan mengurangi kesalahan data pada saat pelamar mengisi formulir di Registrasi Online, pelamar dihimbau untuk mempersiapkan seluruh data dan dokumen pendukung yang diperlukan. Pelamar dapat juga memasukkan file scan pas foto dengan besar file maksimal 200 Kb. Pelamar wajib mempunyai email.

5. LAIN – LAIN.

  • Seleksi bersifat nasional untuk seluruh lokasi tes, dilaksanakan dengan metoda dan ketentuan / persyaratan yang sama.
  • Pelamar yang sudah pernah mengirimkan lamaran sebelumnya dinyatakan tidak berlaku dan diwajibkan mengajukan kembali sesuai ketentuan di atas.
  • Surat lamaran yang telah dikirim/diterima tidak dapat ditarik kembali.
  • Prioritas pemanggilan peserta disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan PT PLN (Persero)
