Indonesia Infrastructure Initiative is a technical advisory and capacity building program funded by the Australian Government and managed by SMEC International Pty.
The Indonesia Infrastructure Initiative (IndII) is a three-year project funded by the Australian government. Its goal is to promote economic growth by working with the Government of Indonesia to enhance infrastructure policy, planning and investment. IndII focuses primarily on water and sanitation issues and on transport by road, rail and sea, as well as a number of cross-sectoral policy issues.
All of IndII’s activities are designed to build local capacity at both national and sub-national levels. IndII coordinates its efforts with other donors participating in major infrastructure projects, and promotes partnerships between government and the private sector. A selection of its current work includes incentive grants for local governments to invest in their water utility companies, assisting with the development of national master plans for ports and railways, and formulating new guidelines and procedures for the management of transport sector public service obligations.
Ltd. The program’s purpose is to support the Indonesian Government in overcoming barriers to the delivery of high quality and strategic infrastructure developments through working with and building the capacity of GO] agencies at both the national and sub-national levels.
Gender Implementation Officer
Applications are being sought from appropriately qualified and experienced Indonesian nationals for the position of Gender Implementation Officer. The position requires an experienced gender adviser preferably with exposure to and/or experience in donor-funded aid programs. The incumbent will possess demonstrated experience in working with gender principles implementation in development initiatives. The person must be a self-starter capable of consistently meeting project deadlines and reporting timelines, possess excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to develop strong working relationships with related and external organisations.
The successful candidate will be a mid-senior level professional with:
- Experience in implementing gender in development initiatives
- Experience in working with governments and communities
- Experience in the water and sanitation and transport sector will be highly regarded
- Excellent written and spoken English and Indonesian language skills.

This is a full-time Jakarta-based position until 30 June 2011, with possible extension of up to 4 years subject to funding approval. The total package for the position is a maximum of Rp22,000,000 per month gross (inclusive of salary, personal income tax and Jamsostek contribution).
